Jean Mattis, owner of KJB Farms, was quoted in the Dayton Daily News speaking out against residents in the City of Dayton being permitted to raise back yard chickens. She has lost my business! She sells eggs at the 2nd street market. I will never purchase eggs from her again.
Be cautious of farms like these selling no antibiotic or hormone-free meats. They sometimes claim to "pasture-raise" their animals and they may pasture-raise one animal and lead the public to believe all their animals are pasture-raised and/or non-GMO fed when, in fact, only one animal is and the rest are raised conventionally.
