Hartzler dairy provides old fashioned cream-top, hormone-free, milk in glass bottles. Their milk is produced only on family farms that do not use chemicals or hormones in their cows or their crops.
They are not certified organic - but they have used organic practices in farming since 1964 and their products are all-natural. Hartzler Dairy also produces all-natural roll butter .

Hartzler’s dairy cows graze freely in pasture and consume healthy, green grass during warm weather months. Milk from grass-fed cows has a higher content of vitamins and Omega-3s,as well as higher levels of conjugated linoleic acid, which have been found to have cancer-fighting properties. In addition, Hartzler milk is not homogenized, leaving milkfat globules intact to carry important nutrients like Vitamins A & D to the body.

Hartzler milk is enzyme-rich due to our low-temperature vat pasteurization process. These enzymes are crucial for digestion, as they assimilate nutrients into the body. Lactase, for example, converts lactose into energy and phosphatase assimilates calcium into our bones.
We are the only dairy in Ohio to pasteurize milk this way. Our process kills harmful bacteria, in compliance with FDA rules, without harming enzymes. Because of this, many people who have been diagnosed as lactose intolerant can drink our milk!
Milk Can Help with Weight Loss
The key to milk as a weight loss aid lies in its calcium content and the body’s ability to absorb this calcium. When the body does not get enough calcium, it begins conserving it. This mechanism prompts your body to produce higher levels of a hormone called calcitriol, which prompts the production of fat cells. Without milk and other dairy products, we send the body a signal to make more fat.
Calcitriol in high levels triggers fat cells to store themselves in the body and to expand. When we increase our calcium levels, calcitriol is suppressed and the opposite happens. Fat cells get broken down and digested and those remaining become smaller. A high-dairy diet can boost weight loss by about 70%.
